THE ORGANIC PAINTER

My name is Ciarán Coyne and I was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. I have been running The Organic Painter from Barnet, north London for the past four years.

Before moving to England I had been working in the building industry for over a decade (family business), and suffering regular contact dermatitis and chest infections. I finally realised just how toxic conventional paint is, and that I needed an alternative if I was to proceed in my work.

I found the solution to this predicament through a client who insisted on using only organic and natural paint in her home, and I have never gone back to using anything else since that day. Since then my health has improved dramatically (skin and sinuses) and I am no longer supporting a huge multi-national company by my choice of profession.

There is a satisfaction in knowing that the work that I do is not harming the planet or any of its inhabitants, large or small, young or old. My wife, who is a midwife, regularly recommends natural paint to pregnant women and new families redecorating their homes.

All of the work I complete is guaranteed for one year, and a clear regular communication between myself and my clients is of utmost importance to me and is central to the ethos of the business.
