| What’s wrong with normal paint?
- Conventional paints are known to be damaging to the respiratory systems of the young and old.
- The process of synthetic paint drying releases gases (off-gassing), including known carcinogens such as toluene and xylene. These continue to be released into your home or office for months and even years after the initial paint job.
- Some of the alkyl phenols in conventional paints are proven to be hormone disrupting and bio-accumulate in the body.
- Supposedly “Low VOC” paints aren’t promising toxin-free air, even though their accompanying marketing campaign may imply otherwise; low VOC paint should still be treated as a toxic substance.
